Ashamed Of Love?
By La Belle Rouge

i have never felt any shame
for having loved you
what we share is yet real
even when i distanced myself
you remained in my heart
when another claimed my love
still...still i thought of you
and all you represented

no regrets for our time together
or the time we spent apart

the short time together
taught me the beauty of love

the long time apart taught me
reliance on true promises

no tears or pangs of dark regret
no self incrimiation for my humanity

joyful that somewhere in time
My Love, i have found you again

i feel no remorse for anything
can the mind win over the heart?
i could lie and deny my desire
but my heart would see though it
no i am not ashamed of love
not buried in guilt for wanting you
never sorry for loving such a man
for you are worthy of my love

To be ashamed of it, one needs to have had one from the start.

A very beautifully, descretely written piece of true love and desire. The wanting that eats away at the longing, fantastic....

In your sentimental style, this is so well written, revealing more than a little meagre affair - Belle, you're thoroughly a romantic girl who has put something in it again! Thankful for the echoes of the past, bringing it to brass tacks, the last thing you want to lie down on, you do something about it, called romance, inspiration to love and let love, by turning the brass tacks round so you can once again lie down on plush, Victorian furniture.

That passion is a true testament of pure love and the ability to harbor such emotion. I cannot feel the shame of loving so. I can always rely on your ability to express it so well.
