This is a very special poem to me. i lost my best friend in iraq about 4 months ago. this poem is dedicated to him and all the other troops that have lost their lives for the ones they love and have left behind.

You quietly move through the silent of night
Your gun is locked and loaded
You are ready to fight
Like a ghost out of the shadows
You aproach enemy lines
You move your men in quickly
You sneek in from behind
As shots begin to fire
The battle has begun
The enemy gets scared
But there is no where to run
Then bombs start to soar
And they light up the night sky
Your adrenaline kicks in
Just like a great high
In your army green
You are brave and true
Fighting for your counrty
Of the RED, WHITE, and BLUE.
