I come to you with arms open and the trust of a child, you reward my softness with pain.
My aqua, blue eyes are welled with tears, that spill over, hitting the ground,
My tears are your reward, your winning crown.
You smile, the victor has won the spoils,
My pain and humilation are the reward for your toil.
You revel in my quivering chin and trembling lips,
My tears signal victory as you hold me in cruelty's grip.
My crime, I wanted love and deep devotion,
I wanted to give you my love, it is deeper than the deepest ocean.
You have called me a silly heart, a romantic fool,
You find me childlike and so unschooled.
My feelings for you scare me, they are so strange and new to me,
Why must you always hurt me, I love you, just open your eyes and see!

|Very honest. I easily sense your pain and humilation, and my heart breaks for you. I applaud your ability to be transparent and vulnerable, and to put accurately into words what most of us have at some point felt, and sadly it's that vulnerability that cruel men feed on. Thankfully you recognize it, and hopefully you have embraced and claimed your softness, and have grown to love yourself enough to have moved on. Love and best wishes|

|Sounds like a tribute to my first marriage. He figured it out way too late. I moved on and am incredibly happy.
