Back to Me

I have known pain

For Life I had disdain

Darkness was hollow

Now, light is near

From the rungs of Hell, I rise

The weight has lifted

Tears are mere stains

Curiosity replaces Indifference

I can feel Love

I can see Beauty

 I Survived!

Laughter feels right

Yesterday is gone

In today, I revel

I look forward to ‘morrow

Life has beauty

And I am....

Back to Me!

Carin' Spirit,

I totally get this poetic express, it seems like a long way home sometimes when we get away from our selves, or in grief, or any turmoil or rocky roads.....
