Be Blessed with ALL your "Unending Presents!"
Lord, I will forever ask you for more wisdom
Ďtil I neíer, ever, bespeak, "Why . . . ?"
Even when life and all me, living
thinks, itís all exceeded my mind!
You taught me how right will guide me, the way
You let me learn on my own, O' how my wrongs taught me to pray!
With age, so comes wisdom . . . youíve heard it before
And, Yes, it is true when they say that, "Life is so much, much, more!"
Lord, Iím still asking you for more wisdom
For, You see, I sit, quite some, confused
...while, Iím sure all my perplexing is begetting you amused!
"Why me?", He laughs, ". . . and why not you?", He gasped
Please help me, Lord, to fully understand
I feel, Iíve been, lately, treading uphill through sand
This one big quandary, seems just too much for me, Man!
...and so I lit a candle, and remembered . . .
The Lord doesnít give us anything we canít handle!"
(He must have high hopes for me!)
Kimmy Van Kooten
Throughout my life, my father repeated this outloud when things got rough...but, I still find I'm constantly reminding myself over and over. . .
I seem to forget it so easily, thinking,
"I'm all alone on this one and I'll never survive!"
But, even when I do lose my faith, I do know, that God knows...I WILL get through it all!
So, why fret?
Just look at all the presents!
Love and Peace~

|Beautiful prayer. So full of wisdom as it is. Walking uphill in sand is a bit difficult at times, but you get to the top and the slide down is fun. It all comes together as you say. Excellent. Liz|

|Oh Kimmy! This is a fabulous prayer! I never pray for patience, that is a sure way to Him teaching you patience the hard way! But I do pray for wisdom, and for discernment.

|My Dearest Kim, It does my heart good that you remember some of my preaching to my kids. God made us in his image and likeness and we are all working to become God like. Love you Dad.|

|Problems come and problems go--in time, but God's love and mercy always prevail with daiy blessings sometimes seemingly too small to be thankful for. Yet, if we are busy thanking for those small blessings, we won't have our minds on our problems quite so much. Many small blessings and big ones, too, to you, Kimmy.|

|We should be able to wrap a few kind thoughts to go under that tree so He can unwrapped them and get a smile.

|Yes it so often seems we get lost or wrapped up in our own worlds when pressures and stresses not of our own making even, seem to land on our shoulders in an unbearable weight. Great write and search for understanding in this one dear Kimmy.
