Watching the Thanksgiving "Special" on the life and times of Bob Dylan, this came to me. Dylan is one of my idols. He seems to channel a "Universal Soul" which speaks to such a diverse audience. He will live forever through his words and that is the ultimate goal of any poet.

Questions For Humanity

Who knows when?
Who knows where?
Who knows how?
I don't care!

Who knows why?
Who knows who?
Who knows me?
Is it you?

I know this
I know that
I know not
A Cheshire Cat.

Why do we?
Who are we?
Why Can't we see
That you are me?

Mankind kills
Mankind dies
Human beings
Filled with lies.

Dylan sings
Dylan songs
But we don't hear
Rights or wrongs.

The answers my friend
Are blowin' in the wind.
The answers are blowin' in the wind.

The death of any man diminishes the life of us all, don't remember who said it but it's true and your poem captures this universal truth perfectly Chuck.

Beautifully written and I love Dylan. Even got to see him at one of his concerts. I do believe that his words, if not his music will continue on for a very long time. Now that is truely a tribute....

Be safe,
Karen

(That you are me), we are like a hindu god, with zillions of body parts ideas, believes, egos, etc, inluding all that surrounds us, our fearful shallow minds will now accept that we are one on the canvas of the greatest of Creators, that canvas is him, and includes him, the all there is, the soup in the pot, and the pot, and love is what binds it all together, we need more love in this world, one of the greatest teachers on that subjects Holiday is coming up, lets share his teachings a little more readily, and by example. A great insightful write Chuck. Bless You! Jasmin Horst
