Autumn's Eyes

At first meeting
icy cold stares
for others
little warmth in
Winter glance

New twinkle
on seeing
fresh face
and future in
Spring promise

Outdoor warmth
forms dubious
alliance for
selfish goals in
Summer rewards

Carefree days
end with
commitment
losing self in
Autumn eyes

Hopes, planted in the fall; promises, made; come the Spring, they will bud and bear fruit. WE PRAY. Beautiful lines here, Bill.

Interesting and fresh glance at the hopes and promise that are planted or laid to rest in the fall...will blossom and burst forth come spring.
