A Christmas Wish

It will be a blue Christmas for me, now that you have gone away.

My eyes behold the Christmas Star,
My heart is sad and lonely, while wondering where you are.
The cold air has turned my tears to ice, as longing seeps in,
Longing, the cold, gray pain, that stabs my heart again and again.
I sadly realize that I won't be getting over you, there is no need to try,
Do you ever think of me, I wonder as I cry.
You were my magical moment, so brief in time,
My arms ache to hold you and feel your warmth so sublime.
I know that our parting was for the best,
But I still miss your kisses and gentle caress.
How much more can a heart endure before it breaks apart?
I can hear it scream in agony, my poor aching heart.
Through misty eyes, I look toward the night sky,
Desperately realizing the sadness of good-bye.
I will make a wish upon the Christmas Star, hoping it will come true ,
That you will return to me and love me as I love you.

Music: Winter Sonata
