War is heartbreak Hell for our brave warriors and their families. Please keep them in your prayers and remember them this Christmas. Part 1
I am writing this through my tears,
This war seems endless, it seems like we have been apart for a million years.
I just can't watch the news, the war footage frightens me and makes me cry,
Each day it seems that more brave soldiers die.
While making your Christmas cookies, my tears fell in the dough,
I know you want me to be brave, but I miss you so!
I knitted you a sweater to warm you from the cold,
It symbolizes my love for you to have and hold.
I show little Billy your picture and he kisses it everyday,
He folds his little hands, bows his head, as for you we pray.
My Darling, it is so hard living without you, but Billy keeps me strong,
I pray daily for this war to end, I hope it won't be long.
Billy is your image, it almost breaks my heart,
He keeps me going since we have been apart.
I know life is so hard on you, I don't mean to complain,
But wanting to be in your arms is driving me insane.
Darling, I will close for now and get your Love Box in the mail,
Never fear My Darling, my love for you is strong and will not fail.
I am also sending pictures, but don't be fooled by my smile,
I am trying to be brave, while my heart is breaking all the while.
With All My Love, Lisa
Music: Merry Christmas, Darling

|This is so sad as we know too well there will be a lot of those letters written this Christmas and packages sent out. A lot of little Billy's will pray for Daddy or Mommy to come home. I remember going through this with my husband. Thank you for sharing.

|SC you outdid yourself with this sad but warm letter that I am also sure is being written and delivered by thousands of wifes, mothers, daughters, sons and girlfriends all across the world today. Thank you for reminding us of the sacrifice that they make as well as those of the warriors for peace...
