Rest awhile longer
donít be alarmed
thatís not a rap, on the front
rest awhile longer
tis the popping of the
burning logs
donít be alarmed
tis is not the firing of a

That is only the fire
rest in the waves of warming

Close your eyes in soothing
rest and leave the world at bay
for this moment
it can wait
rest a while

I can relate so well. Imagining a knock on the door. A sounds from a long ago, never to be forgotten past. Dreaming of the thunk of a mortar tube popping has put me on the floor. Then I feel so foolish.

seems like the most inviting soothing, graceful thing right now. .

but enough from the personal standpoint; this is so inviting to those without. ..and those fighting from without and even mroeso from within themselves. ..a call for REAL surrender, to the epace within that is made of light and grace .. .
