Yellow boots in my closet
Like the color of a fat canary.
Or a ripe banana.
Or the blazing sun.
Or a flitting butterfly.

They are so darn pretty.
I wanna wear them in the snow
Wth the brown wool socks with that hole in the toe.
And they can be seen a mile away
Because they are so yellow and mellow.

Yellow boots in my closet
 I wanna wear them forever
With my matching yellow hat
And then I can paint the town gold
even if there is no snow.

This is a very interesting and upbeat poem. You go kick that snow, and the yellow sparkles will fly from your yellow-booted feet!
Be careful, though---that hole in the toe will get bigger and bigger.
Happy New Year!
Connie
