This in reply to Eds beautiful poem, when he found solace in the natural world, as I do, and as I walked in this winter wonderland with bowed domes of white snow laden branches, I thought of him. A painting of my Homestead, by the old Master!

To Ed, who hugs nature deeply!

A winterís walk!

Softly gently floating feather light

Flowers from heaven fall

Cooling cheeks so bright

A fluffy blanket all

Through the sprinkle of frozen mist

Stillness and quiet whispers

Not a sound is missed

Flakes hug their little sisters

More and more that blanket knit

On treetops, rooftops, and every space

All expanses covered bit by bit

All quietness is hushed, and draped in lace

Stand still from top to toe

Silently layers gently touch you too

Hug you, and kiss you so

For inner piece to sue

The laden treetops dome

Gently touch the ground

A path that leads you home

You know that peace you found!

It was a pleasure, taking this winters walk with you, especially since I didn't have to get all wrapped up in winter clothes. Truly enjoyed.

Cheers,
Dan
