This morning's pillowy clouds inspired this one ...

Image (c) 2005, Karla Dorman.

... clouds wrap the sun in
pillows of darkness,
trying to smother
morning before it
has a chance to take
first breath.  The light is
too strong, however -
it pushes against
the shoulders of its
assailant, tosses
it across the room ...
all in a day's work.

(c) 2008, Karla Dorman (1/3)

Beautiful work, but your last line's cliche. I think you should chuck it. "I'm all for chucking things," she says with a chuckle. --Chuck-Chuck
