A Bending Menagerie
Glossy hues traipse quietly across the slender vision of my mind.
Eloquence sires the sweet splendor hidden in the forest of another time.
Grace manifested came forth in the soft shadows delivered this melodious day.
Crimson skies painted clouds upon this gentle heart of mine to take.
Placid cool waters reflected the paleness of evenings fading light.
Like glinting mirrors sleek and smooth, emulating this second sight.
Pines whispered caressing tunes; shunting the darkness coming soon.
I close my eyes, yet I still see; I regress in thought; I remember once being free.
Screaming colors now come forth in a kaleidoscopes bending menagerie.
I gasp within and open my eyes; I kneel slowly by the waters side.
A face I see, the face of one like me…
A teardrop falls rippling now the seeing waters of my mind.
