Old Man Winter Went on Vacation,

So We Took a Spin, With Much Elation

“Comin’ to ya on a dusty road,

Good lovin’ I got a truck load;

And when you get it, you got somethin,

So don’t worry, cause I’m comin.”

The Blues Brothers,

I’m a Soul Man

We’re havin a heat wave,

Fifty Degrees in January;

So, I revved up my old bike,

And we took a spin, very merry.

As we raced down the muddy road,

One of my favorite songs in my head,

She yelled out, as she very often does,

“You are truly an old fool, Mr. Ed!”

Yeah, Baby,

But I’m a Soul Man

I really love cruisin with you down these old city streets,

You know I learned how to drive before I could even eat.

I was brought up from good old Polish stock,

When I start drivin’ You Baby, I just can’t stop.

I’m a Soul Man,

I’m a Soul Man,

I’m a Soul Man!

(She) “You’re Gonna be a Sole Man, If You Keep That Up.”

Well, grab that sidecar, and I’ll drive you in,

Give you hope, and be your only boyfriend.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!

(She) “You’re an Idiotic Old Fool!”

Now Baby, keep your eyes out for any homeless little critters,

We’ve probably got just enough room for a few more, I figure.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!

(She) You Truly Are Insane!”

Yeah, but where else could you have so much fun?

Baby Cakes, this love ride of ours has just begun.

How’d you like to drive down to the Burger King,

Maybe they’ll let us play on that little kiddy swing?

(She) “Don’t You Dare Get On That Kiddy Swing Again, Mister!”

And when we finally do get home, I’m gonna take out the trash,

Hell, maybe I’ll even clean up a little, and take a hot soapy bath.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!

(She) It’s About Damned Time.”

I’m a Soul Man,

I’m a Soul Man,

I’m a Soul Man!

(She) Just Shut Up and Drive, You Old Fart.”

Yes, Dear…

(She) “And are you sure this old bike has a full tank of gas?”

Uh, no… I made that part up.

And, uh, Sweetie, I think we’re lost…

You know, my grandmother had a bike like the one in your photograph that we used to go shopping in. She drove everywhere, even on the sidewalks when it suited her. She was a cool lady. I am happy that you are getting a chance to enjoy the heat wave, we hit 78 today! Unbelievable, don't know to wear summer or winter clothes, air conditioning or heat Sure wish mother earth would decide if she wants global warming or global cooling....

Be safe,
Karen

Loved it! Man you could've really cruised here in Ky today the temps reached sixty nine...hard to believe and giving snow for the weekend! I always wanted a side car...but instead we got an ATV rhino...kind like a super 4-wheel drive golf cart...lots of fun, you could really bring home lots of little creatures in one of them. Dennis laughs at me because I'm always on the lookout when we go riding for rocks to go in my flowerbeds, bird nests for my class, and occasionally a deserted hornets nest, and I've been known to bring home a frog or two and a turtle once...the song was a great match, loved that movie! Enjoyed the write!
Blessings from Ky.

As long as your gal is with you, you are never lost.
Good for a chuckle as I cleaned and waxed my car in this change of weather. Good now until the Spring or salty conditions bye and bye.

Brother,
First, you take a Harley and lose the sheila with sidecar and all, or she better straddle back you and hold the goodies for all she's worth.
Second, you can ride that kiidie-swing all you want, they aren't president yet, and the future looks dark, Obama dark.
Third, and last, what the hell you didn't invite me and my 1957 Sportster for that ride? I gonna tell Jersey of your escapade though.
