We were fortunate to have one daughter after four boys. The boys grew as they would to move on and make lives of their own but our little girl who has never caused us to ever wonder where she was, what she was doing or who she was with, has decided she is very content to be here with Mom and Dad after spending a few years in University. She has several hobbies, loves people and works hard. Spoiled with love through the years and continues to be our pride.

   Always Be Happy

I ask why do you sit in your room all alone,
You never go out, always at work or at home.
I look at you through the corner of my eye,
And think for a moment with a sad sigh.

Are you lonely, or are you content,
Is this what you want and how it’s meant.
Are you happy with your life and who you are,
Have I spoiled you dear from going too far.

My little darling girl, our true pride and Joy,
We were blessed with you after we had each boy.
You are beautiful from the inside out,
You’ve given us happiness, what life’s all about.

You have a heart I think made of gold,
We’re so lucky with you and so we’re always told.
Never a worry have you given us,
No angry words or even a fuss.

Make your life what you want it to be,
Fulfill it joy, always be you, just be happy.
Know that we love you, our little girl,
You have become our wonderful world.

What loving words to our wonderful bundle of joy sis. Yes I have to agree you are so blessed to have her but I thank God that she has the two of you and there is so much loved shared.

We have a son and a daughter...both live very close, yet one of them is at our house almost every day, and if not at our house...inside of my classroom or on the phone. Bet you can guess which one it is...yeap, our daughter. I think it's their personalities, and they don't have a wife who wants them all to their self! Sounds like you've got a wonderful daughter too....enjoyed!

I bet giving birth is fun. You must be a great cook.
Wonderfully written. We kinda wait for life to begin, then it hits us, it has begun, did when we came out of the womb....

Beautiful tribute. As a mother I loved how you questioned whether she was really happy and meant to stay at home with her parents all of the time. With you as her mother I think she will find her way. You will guide her and she will continue to be fine. Excellent. Liz

Rose--this is precious. With only sons, my youngest brought my first true daughter into my life. I feel, no share, your love. It is something so different and blesses us in a way no other can.

And with a mom like you, know that those wings we provide them with are strong enough to take her where ever she needs to be. Even if it is home safe in her nest.

Beautiful tribute.
Beautiful daughter.
Beautiful reason to smile.

Got mine going--RaeLynn

Nice write, Rose. I was not blessed with any girls, 3 boys - one is grown (22) and on his own away from home, we sadly lost one from meningitis at the tender age of 4 and we have one son (8)at home. I always wanted a girl, but that was not to be. I love my sons, they have made us very proud, as I see your girl does. I can feel the love emitting from this poem. Very nice.

I'll bet this caused tears to you daughter as she read it. I'd even bet you had some tears as you wrote it. Beautifully done.

The wonderful world of parenthood without the worries of parenthood, of it is just that the linebackers before her gave you the blessing of someone not grabbing for mommy all the time?
This poem should be read by all the sons and daughters!!!!!
