Being a country girl at heart.. I love nature...everything about it... from the colors, animals, seasons, and especially the precipitations :) Mostly... I LOVE THE RAIN!

After the Rain
After the rain

Love the world after the rain

it causes the world to reawaken

opening eyes anew

with a sigh

to feel alive

a new found relief

as rainbows stretch

far across the skies

birds peep out

to sing their songs

everything is clear

bright

as if no one can do wrong

all the pains washed away

new beginnings sto start off right

fresh scent of nature drifts along

taking refuge in its peace

making you sit back

taking all whole heartedly in

with reverant eyes

looking to the heavens above

awakening after the rain

beautiful country

blossoms bloom

of love and essence

as the clouds part

they reveal a smiling sun

a sweet irradescence

while thinking of days ahead

all the wondrous things that strive

so alive

after the rain

full of energy

the new lives

hopes

beginnings

all thats begun

because of the rain

Will start all things growing

come spring

see how they've grown

if not for the water

after the rain

all would be stone

I feel the same way when it comes to rain, Vina. It has been a source of "poetic" inspiration for me on many occasions. Your kinship with nature is evident via your verses. Thank you for sharing this offering. Love and best wishes,

Regis

It shows that you have a love for not only the rain...but all that it brings forth of Nature...

nice work...
