Hang On To Our Caring Ways

If the cost of caring is hurting and the cost of hurting won’t go
Should I even bother caring at all for those who I get to know .

Ok , say I don’t care anymore and I turn as cold as a stone
sure I won’t get hurt anymore, but I’ll be living here all alone .

I’d be like a robot without a heart who will never hurt again ,
Because mechanically minded beings cannot feel another’s pain .

With all the caring and hurting we do there’s one thing will never change .
it’s the fact that we are human so accept it even though it’s strange .

The mystery of life will reveal all ,in Gods time, when that unfolds .
not only are we human beings, but we are creatures who have souls .

So recognise the hurt we feel and the reason should not be dismissed ,
Then have the courage to care again, it’s not nice , ah but oh what bliss .

For to be a person who cares ,you have to be tough as well these days .
so must trust ourselves and never change and hang on to our caring ways .
