Vintages of delight.

I sip slowly from the crystal

The stemmed glass releases

Subtle, fruity semi-sweetness

The blush, of white Zinfandel

My palate races, tantalizing my id

Aromatics blossom and surround

My nostrils engage in Freudian delight

Nectar from a master vintner

A marriage of ebon grape

Dark swirling secrets in woody casks

A vintner's passionate desire

To elate the pallates

Of lovers of Zinfandel

Sip a glass of California delight

Let your palate be sated

Black art released

With the pop, of a cork

This reminds me of when I used to make wine. I do not claim that it was "fine" wine but is certainly "did the trick." Thank you for sharing this homage to the elixir from the vine, Jon. Love and peace,

I always wanted to write something about wine, because I find myself indulged once in a while. I'm glad I haven't written anything, because you would have put me to shame. This is beautiful work!
