The music swept over me
Drowning me, soothing me.
His fingers ran across the keys, black and white.
I closed my eyes and fell deeper
And for a moment I thought of the luckiest girl
Because for just a moment, I was her.
He looked at me with such love
Caring and sweet he smiled
And my heart fluttered like wings of a dove.
I fell into the music competely
Which said more then words ever could
And the piece he was playing, I knew, was me.
But music can be decieving
As it landed on a cold chord.
I had let myself fall too deep.
So there he left me
Cold and alone
The music around me empty
And my heart still wrapped around his one, loving tone.
