I wrote this at a point when a friend of mine had lost a relative and would talk about him all the time. It made me realize a number of things that made life worthwhile and important.

What’s life?

A series of connections

A period of time; where in which a sense of belonging is searched for!

Seasons- As the sun and moon dwell together, they will never meet-

Connections by the constellations

Years- Time does not repeat itself; the years go by and never return-

Connections by the first and last day of each month

A series of connections…

Man- each uniquely crafted-

Connected by time, Connected by seasons

Connected by belonging to each other

God- omnipotent, omnipresent and everlasting-

Connected to man from creation, till extinction

Connected to man to fulfill a sense of belonging

Life- A series of connections by time and season

While the earth remained, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat,
and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” ~~Genesis 8:22~~

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. ~~Revelation 22:13~~

Life- A quest for belonging

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity.” ~~Jeremiah 29:12-14a~~

Life- A journey based on connections in a sequential period---time

Our beginnings and ends shall never be the same-

for I know not two seasons which bring forth the same fruit.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ~~Jeremiah 29:11~~

Life- is our search for a belonging, a resting place from our toils

Once we have found a shield from the storms, and seasons

Once we have gone through our sequential battles with each season

Once we have connected with ourselves and abided in what we chose to belong to

Then we’ve been through a life- a series of journeys, seasons….the ultimate connection with ourselves through our creator.

Connections should be embraced in this life as generously as possible I do believe. The European tradition of kissing the cheeks each side three times to represent the trilogy is so uplifting - as we take the time to do so - we can only connect and share again and again.

Nice of you to capture your friends emotions in this piece.

Thank you, ~D.
