Self-conscious

My hair is too long,

And never seems to stay in place,

My eyes are too brown,

And don’t even get my start my round face.

My smile waivers on more than one occasion,

And my teeth should be brighter,

My feet are too wide,

And god knows my stomach should be tighter.

I bite my nails too short,

And My makeup never lasts through the day.

My chest never quite fits into my bras,

And my ass has been forever M.I.A.

All my flaws, I can list for days,

Every defect of mine, I know by heart.

But when all is said and done,

I should be the only one ripping myself apart.

...in your conscious self...you have said much...and only you in saying so...know the light your heart holds within... what I see is the light reflected in your pen...which holds the ink of your heart.
very well written Krystle...

No one should be :) You are a good writer and I am sure there are many other good qualities about you, too. And as Karen said, be nice to yourself, you deserve it. Blessings to you, Michelle
