A ditty for my girl

I just want to be the one
that she does run to when its raining
when the ground below is shaking
when all hope runs dry with tears

I'm gonna wrap her in my wings
like a shelter in the storm
I'm gonna keep her safe and warm
and lay to waste her fears

I'm gonna love her,
yeah, just love her
until the day turns into night
until there's nothing left inside
and through the stars we ride
I'm gonna love her

and when I hold her
I can feel her
I can breathe her

like a raging fire

I 'm gonna love her
