An all too common scenario i face on a regular basis.

How dare you judge me!
While your Father, Sister, Brother or Mother
lies dying in the street!

I beg you to help me help them.
Let me bring justice to the ones who hurt you.
You stare right through me.
Your pre-conceived notions of who i am
outweigh the need to make these people pay?

What do you hate more; my blue eyes?
The color of my skin?
The badge around my neck?
Or is it a culmination of all these things that
you were raised to believe are evil in this world?

The tattoo around my wrist says "Judge Yourself"
because only God can judge me!
So enjoy watching yourself on TV calling me the racist.
Talking about how we don't do our jobs.
Say I don't care about you or your community.

But Never, Ever Forget This...

I begged you to help me help them!

How dare you judge me!
While your Father, Sister, Brother or Mother
lies dying in the street!

Your ignorance, your inability to see past the lies
you've been taught have allowed a murderer
to get one step closer to freedom.
You're no better than he is.
No you didn't pull the trigger, but now
Their blood lies in your hands!

How Dare You Judge Me!

The most dangerous people are those who have committed a crime and gotten away with it; they'll continue to do worse with consideration for no one. You have wisely explained the "code of the streets", where not only misconceptions, but fear, exists!. Wise words...great info.

I really like this one. Especially the part about "preconceived notions"...shows the power of our thoughts and how dangerous they can be.
