Nothing changes!
Links zwei drei, first foot forward,
That’s the drill,
Not knowing what I’m marching toward,
Gives me such a chill,
But looking all around,
Thousands without voice,
All are forward bound,
Do I have a choice?
All in unison in that beat,
Like some robots dumb,
Forward move with speed,
Beat the ringing drum,
Trampled underneath their feet,
All reluctant in that push,
Trampled underneath their cleat,
Into brainless mush,
A force to reckon I’m sure,
Move mountains in the way,
No matter if that mountain’s pure,
For dragons want to slay,
But if that dragon is someone else’s pet,
Your might, of courage, put to test,
No marching army he will fret,
He’ll rouse that dragon in his chest,
A phalanx of wisdoms courage might,
He’ll split your ranks to run,
And send them all to flight,
The mighty Hun don’t fright,
Though Laurels wear upon your head,
As crowns of previous glory,
Yet soon you will forget,
Your ever present story,
Vanquished have your threatened past,
But others jealous of your crown,
New flags mount on their mast,
Your tainted kingship frown,
Mighty forces you enlist,
Your powers to persuade,
None, can you resist,
You’ll seal at once their fate,
Tainted gold and money burse,
Your fortress you enlarged,
Stone by stone your strengths immerse,
Till dollar bills were parched,
Fainted fights in lands afar,
To have them fear your might,
While at home your own did scar,
Brought misery and blight,
The towers tumbled from within,
Now, your enemy, your might,
Took on all your enemies sin,
When you put him then to flight,
That enemy is in all of us,
Of country or of man,
No need the other cuss,
Be it Deutschland, or Iran.
