A New Day

Each new day can bring an awakening of consiousness

As I begin this new day

I turn to God to guide my way.

To fill my heart with joy and love.

To have the peace, that of a dove.

Hope that once was lost now found.

Enlightenment and consciousness abound.

Connections between others begin.

For to journey to the spirit we must go within.

There in the silence lies God’s grace

Wisdom for challenges I must face.

Celestial energy begins to flow

When I connect to what I know.

My soul’s at peace in this divine place.

The ramblings of my mind erased.

As my soul and spirit begin to grow

My ego’s influence is kept low.

Bathed in ethereal light

I feel God’s presence with all its might.

This reconnects me to my source.

To live my life without remorse.

Prayers for others, gratitude professed

For now I know my life is blessed.

A quiet mind, a peaceful heart

This is the way all days should start.

Taking time to commune with God before the day begins always seems to make the day a little better... I love the hushed and reverant feel of your poem...

Indeed! This is the very way I try to begin each day - and sometimes begin each day anew sometime later if I find my self resisting or suppressing the Source within. I relate wholly to your work and am eager to read more.
