Dare To Dream...

Art 'Odyssey'
By Gilbert Williams

Dare To Set Sail
By La Belle Rouge

youíve stood tall
shouldered a load all these years
with that burden on your back
you crawled toward the light
when all your world was black
but a higher power saw your tears

you bravely dared
to share loveís fleeting dream
you gave every part of your heart
loveís joy was gone so it seemed
before it barely could start

often lost so far from shore
the inky thick fog all around
you just canít take anymore
you think youíre going down

some of us are displaced souls
some of us belong elsewhere
some of us are spirits of old
just dreaming until we get there

some of us are passing through
dark waters too deep to swim
some of us have lost too much
and itís time now for us to win

so donít you be afraid to launch
donít be afraid to set sail
no donít fear the howling gale
on an ocean wide of deepest hope
host those sails, brave the wind
youíre able to hold the rope

Oooo, intriguing photograph! How very soothing as one sets sail into a greater unknown in search of the kind of love only written in fairy tales, just beautiful...

Appeals to the Gandalf, Galadriel or Arwen in us all, Belle. "Just dreaming until we get there" just about sums it up! :)) Reckon you'll have more than a few lashed to the mast to weather this storm with you... Journeymen and women of the soul is what we undoubtedly are. Bless you for your loving and kind words always. Kate xx

Sage wisdom. Fear of life is more crippling than fear of death and courage is not the absense of fear but the overcoming of fear to do what needs to be done. I see both in this wonderful piece. This is a keeper for me, and I love the pix too.
