Today a French luxury yacht has been saved from somali pirates who, in the unsafe Somali waters, not only hijack yachts of this type but also attack vessels carrying humanitarian supplies such as food and medical equipment destined to Mogadishu and other somali port towns to feed displaced people starving in the camp. It is a paradox when people should be saved from their own people.

The sky rained bombs
The Sea was set ablaze
In their mouths
Waves carried fire
Pirates captured
Hostages released
Freedom regained
What a relief

As with politics, events such as this often appear to be so very paradoxical. And in both cases, the driving force, the root-cause, is more often than not, money! Pity. When men think more of wealth, than each other. Jon Michael Willey

Harsh but real. In many ways, there are more "pirates" today than ever before in the history of man on this planet. Thank you, Abdi-Noor. Love and peace,

Pirates seems to be everywhere even in the year 2008.
On the seas and inland, leeches that survive sucking the blood of those that need most.
In the old days they were summarily hang from one of the ship's yards on capture. Today, the name of the game is leniency, so they can do it again and our conscience can sleep well without thinking about the pirates next victims.

I fear that "people should be saved from their own people" says it all, in a world of brigands and power-crazed regimes which cannot or will not protect their own people. I wish all of the people could be rescued from this.

I have been following this for the past few days and was relieved when they were finally captured. Yes, a very sad paradox it is....

Stark reality of the horrors of war, and those who would do something to stop it - well penned.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Sad when people try to keep those who need the most help from getting it! I hope those who need help get it and those who are blocking the help get arrested/punished with the severest form of the law! There's no need for this nonsense!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend/sister in America, Karen Lynn in Texas. :(
