An African Refugee in Europe yearns for his family in Africa and keeps them in his dreams and prayers till the day they join him as part of family reunion program.

First I thought it was a morning star
But the shine was pretty much brighter
Only when your beam struck a prism in my heart
Did I come to realize that it was you
A myriad of love colors filled my heart
As I fell in the depths of love dreams
Getting absorbed in a hot romantic frenzy
Till I woke up to find myself alone with myself
Not with you but alone in a cold bed
Feeling lost in the middle of loss
Wishing to know when you will join me
With the hope that you visit me in my sleep
To keep surfacing in my dreams
Like an Island of love

Abdi, love is truly an island. That island is all of God's universe. For your reunion with your loved ones, may the time take Mercury's feet. Jon Michael Willey

A desert lion will never be happy on a green paradise or in a golden cage...freedom is like those dunes sand grains rolling on your country, unhindered and just going where the wind goes...with freedom.

Awww...I miss my mom so badly haven't seen her in almost 5 years. This is lovely and heartfelt...I know the feeling too well.

This brought tears to my eyes, Abdi-Noor; how I felt the ache in your heart as you placed these words upon the page. This is a very moving offering and I pray for the safe reuniting of this family. In a single line, you really sum it all up.

"Feeling lost in the middle of loss" So powerful are those words.

Take care,

By these lines, I take it you're separated from your family? Oh, I pray not - will have to double prayers being said for you and your family. May you have a reunion, soon. Powerfully poignant longing - well written. :(

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
