In the moon light, my darling
I hear the whispering tune
The lute plays in the distance
By the lake with the swimming loon
In the moon light, my darling
The swans add to the song
I hear them when they trumpet
As we swiftly move along
In the moon light, my darling
The stars twinkle above
Reminding me of the vastness
And the depths of our love
In the moon light, my darling
The wind tickles the trees
I can hear their soft laughter
As they sway with the breeze
In the moon light, my darling
The fireflies come out to play
They light the path before us
As we stroll along our way
In the moon light, my darling
Your hand grasps mine so tight
Creating for me a peaceful sensation
While you guide me through the night
In the moon light, my darling
I see eyes of blue and gold
Peeking through the trees as we pass
With a curiosity so bold
In the moon light, my darling
We reach a mystical place
With a mist lightly floating
Then dissipating into space
In the moon light, my darling
The lake is nestled in the trees
All the pines and the cedars
Whisper their good byes as we leave
In the moon light, my darling
I cherish the moments that we dare
They are constant reminders
Of the love that we share
