Written in EW Richardson's Soliloquy form..one of the most beautiful I've ever worked with.. thank you, my friend.
Where The Lilies Bloom
Morning breathes, its whisper,
A greeting, cajoling and teasing
Thoughts of springtime pleasing,
And I... I watch the lilies bloom
I remember another spring
When the lilies mourned, their tears
Of ivory wept for me and the years
You had loved us both so well.
How they comforted me with quiet
Shyness, convincing me that beauty
Born in sadness is still truly
Beautiful... as is each memory.
And my sorrows spilled, flowing
Onto endless sky, but I gathered them,
One by one, those sweet blossoms
Of memory... for the lilies and me.
I hear morning whisper
Softly there where the lilies bloom.
It speaks of new seasons, of new spring...
And of another remembered well.
I feel the breath of time, the quiet
Spill of gathered memory,
Blossoms upon the soul, sweetly flowing.
And I keep them... for the lilies and me.

|This is a beautiful form! It is almost like a cross between the pantoum and a sestina. The words you wrote match the beauty of the form.

|Your lines are veins from the heart, flowing with a love that pumps throughout a body of memories. Your marriage and husband are, forever enshrined in place known only to you. How wonderfully sweet and giving are these lines for what was between you and your John. With admiration and love, - Bill
