Self Taught

Living alone I talk to myself a lot
... The problem is... I don't listen

It's when I answer myself that's bad
...My other self often likes to argue

Smart persons say self talk teaches
...Smarter - I know better than that

Discussion gets too much one sided
... "He" refuses to permit decisions

We argue too much losing tempers
... Outsmarting him I just shut up

I must admit though he's brainy
...And at times I like telling him so

I like this a lot, Bill. I think this is something we all do from time to time!

Bill, I have always believed that if I am going to ask myself a question, the question deserves an answer. I'm sure there exists a school of therapists that would have a field day with that...but you've once again, all of yourselves proud.

Cheers,
Dan

Well done Bill. I think we all do this at times; I know I have. Very whimsical write.
