Have you ever read one or two classic poems,
way back when you were YOUNG?
And now, maybe remember a title or two -
and maybe a famous line or two?
If this offering causes just one person
to go back in time, by re-reading
one poem mentioned herein -
then I shall have succeeded.
THIS - IS MY QUEST!

A MELDED MEDLEY

Soldiers used as Cannon Fodder,
Bloody Brits - Remiss of Wits -
Lead by a Rotten Rotter!
How Do I Love Thee?

As We Sip a Cup of Tea!
Once Upon a Midnight Dreary -

Penned by Edgar Allen Poe,
At Suspense - He was a Maven!
A Christmas Carol -
Story of Ebenezer Scrooge -
But Unlike him, Little Tiny Tim,

Four are on my all-time favorite list: The Raven, How Do I Love Thee, Trees, and Rhyme of...
Three I don't remember reading or hearing of: Valediction..., To Coy Mistress, or Love Song of J.A.P.
'Bout 50 years ago I invested in (read that paid out on "time") The Harvard Classics - set of 20 books of poets and their works. Put the to good reading over the years.
Tom, you must do the Melded Medley again soon; well done, and very interesting!
Love, Micke |

| First, I love the picture. Second, I still read The Raven, a Christmas Carol, and The Rhyme of The Ancient Mariner at least once a year - truly classics, indeed! And The Old Man and The Sea ain't too shabby either. |
