The pope has arrived.

 

Please withhold your wrath, Our Lord,

as we are young and still know not the power of it.

 

Please withhold your wrath, Our Lord,

as we are old and fragile, some,

and now forget the strength of it.

 

How dare we say such things belonging to another world.

Dare we indeed, oh yes, but only because we

tread on the sands of unthinking souls

where the might of the ocean

predicts our time and our place,

permitted by none other than the best of all,

your beautiful face.
