The connection felt between two individuals who are unable to express their feelings.

Speechless

Body language is

Intricately subliminal.

Pay attention!

The message is

In the eyes,

In the posture.

In the way

You nod and arch your

Eyebrows in comprehension.

I Feel You.

You Hear Me.

As We converse silently.

Intellectuals collectively;

Sometimes too smart for our own good.

Wordsmiths both

When armed with pen

And paper and keys and strokes.

Yet face to face,

Mouths remain closed.

Why is it then that we can

Theologize and cleverly rhyme

Yet cannot find the words to say

Stay.

Through touch

We convey

What we need

Behind closed doors.

Masks no longer conceal.

The sweat glistening on our skin

Speaks to the fire stoked within.

Heavy breathing shouts volumes

As eyelids close to keep souls quiet.

Hands extend to touch again

In silence we resume our conversation.

Sometimes more is communicated through body language than the spoken word, nicely put...
