I've walked this rainbow from beginning to end...

I've walked the rainbow from beginning to end,
searching for you in every cranny and bend.
It's colors often change from gold to blue,
I seek out  your eyes but I cannot find you.

I like the winds to brush against my cheeks,
awakening a heart that's tired and growing weak.
This path is long and days slip by so fast,
I need your love to complete my life's task.

I sent you away without a smile or a word,
didn't reveal why since it was sad and absurd.
I'll never quit looking...it eases my soul,
I need your love to make my life whole.

This trial gets more rigid to stroll every day,
I'll not give up nor will I ever speak a "nay."
I aim to search this earth as long as I'm able,
asking God's guidance in keeping me capable.

I've walked this rainbow from beginning to end,
searcing for you in every cranny and bend.
I'll not give up regardless of my strain and pain,
until you're back in my arms forever to remain.

Barbara, God is love and we are an expression of God's love You and I and all creation are love! All one has to do is keep on the path of goodness and the dove of love will descend upon us. Don't look for it because you won't find it, love finds its own way and will find the door to your heart, again! A magnificent poem on our hearts quest and journey for love. Peace!!!

These words would be great for a country music song. You do so well writing lyrics that you should persue a musician to help you put them to music.
Blessings and love,
Susan
