A Lament

Give love a chance

Strewn upon fertile grounds

Not Heaven sent

Germinating seeds

Weeds of discontent

Within every man

Of every land

The summons to lament

Should have been sent

Absent of compassion

What wretched fruit

Shall we permit

To be fashioned

Sow again

Seeds of promise

That love may blossom

The "wretched fruit" has existed much too long, and it's time (as you say) to sow "seeds of promise"! Wisdom in your poetic words, Jon!
