ED - thank you for reminding us all. But; I think that one thing is missing - the reliance on man's VANITY and/or EGO.
That is, GOD CREATED IT ALL! And matter can neither be created, nor destroyed!
Mankind has CHANGED it, for the worst, no doubt - BUT - neither GOD, nor Mother Nature can be DEFEATED!
Somehow, THEY will succeed - EARTH will continue, but perhaps WITHOUT MAN!
Maybe the CATCH 22 is simply a reversion, way, way back to The Garden of Eden - a few eons of RE-GROWTH, then maybe a second Adam, one that is not a MADA-SS, a newer, improved, high-tech, HYBRID model - with LOADS OF HUMILITY!
Peace, Tom --- P.S. you caused my new post - EARTH DAY ...

What a wonderful ode to dear mother earth. I do fear that mankind has in its zealous ways cause more destruction than can ever be replenished, but faith in God and his work always does come first, well said...
Be always safe,

but perhaps WITHOUT MAN!
Alas, that probably would be better for dear old Mother Earth. I sadly believe that we have now become like the biblical plague of locusts, savagely devouring everything in our path, and I guess now the question will soon become who will win, dear old Mom or us. |

Tom, this is the best earth day poem I've seen and you have given credit to the One who Created it all and will do with it as He pleases. The Bible tells us this world will end and a new one will be given to those who have lived according to His plan, but we who believe are supposed to be Earths protecters, and havve failed miserably...Thanks for sharing!
