It's time for us to get serious
The world populace is delerious
Here in America the politically correct
Have brought us to the brink of defect
The candidates with multi-millions spent
Each believe they are meant to be president
The media has become frenetic with hype
Since most are "Liberal," Obama is their type
Even with all the negatives and his lies
His backers act deaf and close their eyes
Hillary too has been mostly forgiven
She'll stay no matter how hard she's driven
MC Cain's mistake about Shia -Suni gave the
Press ammo to start questioning his age
Not giving him credit for being sage
All three have faults, that no one can deny
We can't stop shooting ourselves in the eye
The world at large makes fun of our process
Politics USA style has beome a 3 ring circus
Aside from what's happening with  politics
Our nation seems  content with acting sick
What happened to  "We're all in this together"
Our minds change about as much as the weather
No one knows for sure how it all will end
It just gets harder to know foe from  friend!

This is so aptly put... we have to decide just who is the lesser of the eveils now that Huckabee is essentially out of the race!

Whomever winds up there, let's find comfort in knowing that God put them there - for His purpose!

Write on. Our disposable income allows us to chase fads almost from birth. We are three generations from the Great Depression and think we can create prosperity in our own image. It's an artificial house of cards that can easily fall. Our political process needs to be as democratic as the Internet, and as inexpensive.

You are so right, this election is a three ring circus. This one in office, well none of you want to hear my opinion of that one. I just wonder, which of the contenders will win and if so...Will he or she pull us out of this mess a certain one has put us in...When Clinton was in office, was our deficit at the lowest this Country had seen. Forget Monica...or whoever...I believe the Mrs...the smartest...I love how you write my Dear....

Powerful points and timely too, Eileen. It seems that in Canada, most people are more interested in the politics of your country rather than ours. Thank you. Love and best wishes to you,

All politicians are bought and paid for, masters of the bait & switch, smoke and mirrors, making stage elephants disappear. Might as well elect Houdini to get out of this the oil crises. Wea re all cannon fodder awaiting a spark.

The too liberal America has certainly done our great spirit much harm. Our sovereignty has provided us with a democracy and freedoms no other people enjoy, but most lust for. The politicos that would turn us into a global place without special identity, such as the EU countries, do our people, our great nation wrong. It is we, the people, the true spirit of one nation under God that have the power to alter their predetermined course. Day by day, person by person, word by word and deed by deed we must fashion the return to whom we are as a nation. The tremendous influence and wealth of special interests are slowly and methodically stealing our nation. We must take it back. Great thought provoking work ET. Jon Michael Willey

I can understand your dislike for the first two, but I think you give McCain far too much credit for 'being sage.' By his own admission, he wants to be a Bush Clone, and continue 'as we are.' I doubt we as a nation could survive another 4-8 years 'of the same.'

Maybe we should just cancel all elections for awhile, and let the country run itself; we probably wouldn't be in any worse shape than we are right now.

So true, and indeed it is tragic. We should be proud and confident in a leader ,,but your words hold truth. Well Done.

The election process must be revised. A country can't survive under a system that is controlled by two bosses that make deals under corruption and blackmail. (RECORDS PROVED) We are under the power of
GAME MASTERS. There is no choice without viability.

I have enjoyed the reading of "Friend or Foe".

You have showcased much in this piece and yes the politically correct crown has created an atmosphere that shuns out all who do not participate. All of politics has turned into a "Circus Maximus" of sorts and the winner is the one with the most gold in his pot. Tis a shame what we have all become and done to this once great nation...

Be always safe,

I turn the channel away from politics these days and feel embarrassed that my country allows this to happem. pride and Prejudiced has turned in a mockery of one another's habits, likes amd preferences in fooling the public. I refuse to watch them anymore. Lies get deeper and profound every day.
