A poem from circa 1975

A Story In Song

Touching the mildness of a lost generation
Bitter sweetness lays arrested on your mind
Gone is the day that is filled with a child’s ego
Curved attitudes running up and down the graph
“What’s there to do next? Na, forget about it!”
A fevered soul ponders on the assets of longevity
As June of your life sets in
A distant cry of December is already being heard
Life is a story in song
Like the falsetto voice of the opera singer
Able to reach the heavenly high pitch and able to ground along the basal hellbound trail
Begin to visualize yourself as an instrument
The tuning has eclipsed its twenty year span
Be ready to fill life at your scope with the melodies you are capable of creating
Make them soft but let them be heard
In it make the meaning clear
Do not have banal attempts to cloud yourself
Make the day sunny
Let every one hear
La - - - la-la-la - - - la - - - - - - la!

JA, to think you wrote such verse over 30 years ago. My hat is off to your depth and talent.
Much peace, love, and light,
