About my eternal struggle to fidn the words I seek.

The first and last of wars I wage
My battleground an unwritten page
My pen an arrow, My blood the ink
The losses held in what I think
I cry in vain for what death holds
The memories lost in pages folds
The ghosts of battle that haunt unseen
Taunting with what could have been
A personal battle with time is fought
Making all my work seem naught
I fight the sleep, but still it comes
A battle lost with each set sun
The battle lost, but war not through
For tomorrow the siege begins anew.

Yes, I think this is a familiar land and war for us all, nice job.

You got it right, Daniel. A lot of us have been there, all too often.

Worth it though, the eternal struggle to pen brilliance on the page - are we as good as we think we are? Perhaps, most likely not, but who cares: the words are winning. :) Well written, Daniel, I love this one, one that many authors will identify with.

(((HUGS))) and love, karla.
