Attacking the Moon...

What did the moon do to deserve it

It was just minding its own business

Then came an ultimatum from earth

The planet just below it with such girth…

The man in the moon was quite upset

After all these centuries of smiling down

On these pitiful humans as they scurry about

Ruining their planet, never did he have cause to frown…

Now an airplane does it approach

A pre-emptive nuclear strike

The plane a drone, it flying alone

Not even a warning or a message of reproach

The man in the moon does wonder

If maybe it was his choice of after shave cologne…J

We have come along way and I'm afraid in the wrong direction. Oh this poem is so thought provoking and true. Love, Bonnie

What's scary, Ed, is that it may come to pass when we run out of targets here on Earth - wow - well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Actually quite profound, brother. I think many innocents in the universe today sadly wonder why we're now launching pre-emptive strikes on them, when they haven't hurt a soul.
