As children our memories were sacred

and our hope was truly understood

We were loved without condition

we loved the way we all should

hearts were seldom broken

and we all believed in good

Love held our hearts and souls

and we loved everything we could

It was only in growing

our joys were misunderstood

and we faltered in humiliation

it kept us from loving the way

that in childhood we would

Now, after years of longing

our hearts cry out to kindred hearts for consolation

our souls search out the good

we once again understand appreciation

we think the way we should

As we witness the revelation

As we share in the brotherhood

We draw ourselves back to the time

when we thought as children

I do wish it were as you express, Pierre. I understand but a lot of people have long forgotten the way they might have been as a child. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

Regis

Wonderful and wise. Those of us who can be creative and dream have the awe of the child within. We're the lucky ones too. I've always viewed a flower, sunset, birds and most everything like the child. I get overwhelmed easy.
This is wonderful Pierre. I'm happy you still maintain the gift of the child.
Love,
Susan
