The 'other' poem I read at yesterday's wedding of young friends.

Commitment

Young friends keep me younger, and it's
great to be called the older and wiser.

Impressive, are today's open and bold
decision made by intelligent young lovers.

The new couple moving near my home
was eager to live well in the neighborhood.

The two smiled a lot, making it easy to
become new friends.

I knew they were hard working when
given fresh vegetables from a garden.

They told me that a marriage is ahead.
She studies for a special college degree.

His work is as a soil classifier throughout
our entire maintain region.

We saw each other frequently on my walks
with our beautiful border collie.

In the mail recently, came an announcement,
saying that the wedding is set for early May.

The two are in love and very happy while
ready to face life's strong ups and downs.

I look to toast long lives and health for
all of their decades of happiness.
