For those of you who have been hurt once, twice or even more by the same rerun love affair...

Played  Again Sam

By: Fee

I can see it in your tantalizing smile

Deep down I know you’ll break my heart

I can hear the insincerity in your voice

Know you’re going to tear my world apart

Those phoney silver teardrops in your eyes

Hiding behind pretty rainbow loving lies

I’ll have tonight then you’ll say so long

Just like all our other bittersweet goodbyes

To your whispered words my soul ignites

Hard kissed lips like Armageddon’s last call

Hot, wet, soft, hard, no retreat, no surrender

Move over sweet dark Angel I’m about to fall

Slowly she dresses in dawn’s dim blue light

No promise broken for no words were said

Tears stain my pillow as the door swings shut

We Just played it again Sam in my lonely bed…

Heart-breaking yet some truth, promises broken and we still continue to have faith once again. And history repeats itself. Nice write.

This is utterly beautiful Fee, sometimes your heart knows and yet we still let ourselves fall...just a taste of it, just a taste wouldn't hurt...that's what we say or we completely ignore that gut feeling....This is heartbreaking and your words describe it so well.

Well Felix I see you hadn't lost your magic touch after all this time. As a matter of fact, I was just thinking the complete opposite. The depth of emotions in this piece is monumental. The lonliness and silence at the end are deafening. Grand write my Friend.

Sad, sad story that makes a great poem when YOU write it. It seems like it should be a sad country song. Poignant picture, too.

Ouch, heartaches by the dozen, methinks. Very poetic...with no justice for lost love. Seems a toss-in-the-hay with some filly's just not worth it.(sorry, Fee, couldn't help that :o)
