Our Heart's Steer

Find the love within
Even when without
Reflect the love that sings
Even if it’s flowing
Like a leaking tap

Meditate on a waterfall
Niagara Falls will do
Let love sing evermore
 Only truth is true

Its essence is overflowing
Its power knocks us out
If we’re not awake to it
Get ready for an almighty clout

It’ll knock us to our feet
Shake cobwebs from the mind
Gives us every incentive
To be honest and wonderfully kind

We know when we have it
When we’ve found our heart’s steer
In our waking moments
Life’s purpose is very clear

Wonderful poem Suzie. Now that we should explain it so that people can grasp it selfishly.

'only truth is true'

sometimes you say the most simple, yet remarkable things, Suzie! and you do it with such beauty!

Finding that love within when it isn't even there take a lot of concentrated effort and more than that, much belief in the common good . . . Truth, I firmly believe is true, as your words say . . . This is something I have always believed even when I was not always truthful . . . The Zen nature of this poem is fasinating and even has a bit of Wicca inbedded herein, "An it harm none, do as you will." (My own quotes) . . . Your poem sets a standard we should all observe . . .
