I am only a day away from Tuesday ;)

Word of the Day for Monday,

May 5, 2008 fustian \FUHS-chuhn\, noun:

1. A kind of coarse twilled cotton or cotton and linen stuff, including corduroy, velveteen, etc.

2. An inflated style of writing or speech; pompous or pretentious language.

3. Made of fustian.

4. Pompous; ridiculously inflated; bombastic.

Frayed Parvenu

From the dastardly pompous inflections

upon an ego of frayed parvenu;

Are many a tawdry pretentious man

riding down the regal forces of an avenue.

Up on the splurged high horse of fustian

 where there is no-one left to decide,

a forgotten gimcracks fate awaits a shoddy man

in the corners of his ride.

This reminds me of a series I used to watch of a french girl(she was kinda sluty to me)but I loved begining of the series, she was riding a horse across an expanse of land, her long black hair flowing behind her, it was called "Catherine"

Parvenu...the french word for jump, like the rabbit does seeing the fox, or the culprit when caught red handed, parvenu, one jumps to so many wrong conclusions......
