Sometimes, vacations just don't turn out the way you hoped they would. An idyllic wilderness house boating get-a-way soon turns into a hellish nightmare.....

Picture of one of the waterfalls, There are seven all together, right in my own back yard!!!!!

Waterfall of Many Messages
by Amber "V" Moonstone

Hawks circling above,
water flowing fiercely,
Wind sweeping gently,
and my eyes tenderly weeping.

I see the hawk,
the waterfall tumbles loudly,
but the wind is gently blowing
away the tears that have begun.

It has been many years,
since I came to this spot,
the rocks have moved a bit,
and the water still falls.

This place is called Seven Falls,
it is a natural waterfall,
that flows into the River.
My eyes behold magical wonder.

I should be like the waterfall,
ever flowing into the larger pool
transforming a stream into a river,
so immense your eyes cannot see to the end.

Wondering, seeing, smelling, feeling,
all the joy and scenery before me.
Peaceful tears flow like that waterfall,
knowing that I can come here once again.

I have stayed away from this natural wonder,
for it was at this place I fell in love,
and lost that love,
All in a matter of one magical year.

The hawk is my friend,
the waterfall brings me contentment,
the wind sends my voice
to that love from long ago.

Hear me, my lost love,
I am here, thinking of you,
smelling, seeing, feeling,
all that was, and all that is.

It is a better place now,
the waterfall sheds new light,
refreshes my healed soul,
and sends messages of new beginnings.

author's notes: I was drawn here, to remember and to also know that I have healed, and can begin a new.

Much peace, love, and light, Amber "V" Moonstone

Amber, this photo paints your poem. Isn't it great to be able to let go and to "live again." Your voice in this told this reader it was hard to let go of a love that brought contentment & happiness. I do hope you'll find your match that is made in Heaven. A beautiful write of honesty and sincerity!
