I was ten minutes early.

My hair was cut and combed.

My tie was neatly knotted

My shoes were shined at home.

My handshake was firm and dry.

My smile was sincere.

My breath was newly minted.

My eyes were bright and clear.

My resume was perfect

I knew I fit the bill.

Would be an over kill.

You are way to qualified

The job would be a bore

I raised my eyes to heaven

For I’ve heard that before.

 Do not appear smarter than

The interviewing clerk.
