My Heroes

inspired by the people that supported me through my breast cancer. With thanks.

My Heroes don't wear capes and fly,
they don't have wings or X-ray eyes,
You would not see them walking by,
and know they were a special guy.

One hero wears a mask and gown,
and when I'm scared he calms me down.
He dedicated all his time
to saving lives, and he saved mine.

My superhero wears my ring,
he held my hand when I was sick.
When everything kept going wrong,
He kept our lives together strong.

Another hero, my best friend,
Listens to me for hours on end,
Joins in my ups and shares my downs,
but when I need her, she's around.

My heroes don't wear capes and fly,
They don't have wings or x-ray eyes,
But they are heroes through and through,
Their powers were tested and they held true .
